From the rock n' roll of britpop to grunge punk of the 90s, Speakerfreak gives you everything you want. Forming in 2016, this emerging, misfit band from the seaside town of Worthing are rising up from the local pub gig circuit to rule the world. Originally they started out as a trio named She Brings The Rain, with Jude Reid as lead vocalist and guitarist, Max Stevens on bass guitar and Leo Nind drumming with a broken arm. The band later met their lead guitarist, Alfie Hammond, at a Rockschool London gig and eventually formed Speakerfreak in late 2018. Building their foundations in the studio Brighton Electric, the band have just releasing their long-awaited first single So Close So Far onto all streaming platforms, as well as Sugar Honey Ice Tea, the B side with more anthems to follow shortly. Inspired by the attitude of Oasis, the presence of Nirvana and swagger of the Libertines, their music has angst, confidence and prowess.
